Anthony David Gonzalez was a tight end in American football that played in the National Football League. He was a 17-year veteran in the field. Considered one of America's best tight ends, he is the holder of an NFL record for the most receiving yards for all tight ends. He also ranks third in all time for the amount of receiving yards.
Tony Gonzalez serves as a FOX sports studio analyst for FOX sports studio. Gonzalez, who has been on FOX NFL KICKOFF since this past season, serves as host of the program. The show airs on Sunday morning at 11:00 am ET, before FOX NFL Sunday.
Gonzalez signed a new contract with the Falcons to run for two seasons and $11 million on March 15, 2013. The signing was in spite of being aware that Gonzalez had claimed he planned to retire following the 2012 NFL football season. Randy Moss announced his retirement in 2012 and Gonzalez (37 an age) played last season as the an NFL's most prolific receiver.
